About The Role: 

We are looking for a Horto Restaurant Head Chef to lead the Dinner Team, working under Head Chef, Callum Bowmer

You will need to be a strong leader to join our young and enthusiastic team and have experience leading a kitchen team at 3 Rosette level.  Cooking in a kitchen that cares about sustainability and seasonal food.  You will work closely with the kitchen gardeners. Cooking skills are important, but our chefs are also consistent, reliable, willing to learn, adaptable to different ways of working and driven to want to be the best they can be.  Your sole focus will be to concentrate on the food and dinner service in Horto

Salary up to £38,000 including Tronc and bonuses

Your Role will include:

  • Manage and lead the team
  • Ensure training and standards are kept to a high standard
  • Bringing new menu ideas to the team
  • Supporting the team working all sections as required
  • Taking pride in being responsible for helping to deliver high-quality food for our guests

A bit about you:

  • Experience of working in a 3 Rosette kitchen would be desirable
  • You should be energetic and have experience of working in a busy kitchen
  • Thrive under pressure
  • Be an excellent team player who can respectfully communicate to the team
  • You should have a desire to aim for high standards
  • You should be reliable, hardworking, trustworthy and passionate in your work

We understand hospitality can involve anti–social hours. All contracted staff who earn less than £35,000 full time annual salary, working Sunday – Thursday from 7pm – 5am, Saturday and Sunday from 5am – 7pm and Friday and Saturday evening from 7pm – 5am can potentially earn an extra £3 per hour!

We also pay a starting salary of £9.70 for contracted staff which is above the National Living Wage.

Plus, we recognise everyone plays their part to provide amazing service. That is why, on top of your salary you can earn up to £1,000 service charge per quarter (based on eligibility)
