Using our Kitchen Garden produce, Murray's fresh take on humble ingredients showcases their flavours through his modern interpretation, both in the cooking methods and presentation.
A familiar face on the Harrogate / Yorkshire food scene, Murray has worked in restaurants throughout the UK and also in Ottawa, Canada.
During his time at Hotel du Vin, Murray achieved 2 AA Rosettes, was a finalist in the Hotel du Vin/Malmaison Chef of the Year competition, participated in food demonstrations and worked with local schools and charities to promote healthy eating, cooking and the development of the next generation of English chefs.
With the opening of Horto, Murray has continued this work through helping to deliver a Dragon's Den style Street Food competition for a local school and mentoring junior chefs.
