Driving female golf participation With Slingsby Golf Academy

At Rudding Park, we like to be able to inspire people to try new experiences. Golf has never been more popular and we are keen to encourage more women on course

With this in mind, we’re super excited to partner with the Slingsby Golf Academy for 2021. This exciting initiative sees four celebrity cadets (TV presenter Helen Skelton, singer-songwriter Fleur East, Sky Sports Formula 1 presenter Natalie Pinkham and broadcaster Bela Shah) who are new to golf, challenged to take a swing at the sport.

The celebrities have 6 months to learn how to play golf before competing against each other in a nerve-wracking play off to qualify for a spot in the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am.

We're #TeamHelen
Over the coming months, Helen Skelton, will be coached and mentored by PGA Professional Steph Davies at Grooves Golf at Rudding Park. Helen will learn new skills and practice on the 6 Hole Repton Short Course which features a signature 5th hole, based on the world-famous 17th at Sawgrass, Florida.

If they can do it, so can you!
If this inspires you to take up the sport this Summer, why not try to master golf in 6 holes on Repton Short Course - perfect for beginners. So if you want to try something new and get your fresh air fix, book a tee time online today. Clubs are available to hire.

Watch this space to see how Helen gets on with her practice and hopefully goes on wins the competition.
