COLOUR RUSH FOR ST. MICHAEL'S HOSPICE
As members of the Guild of Patrons of Saint Michael’s Hospice, a team of willing volunteers have signed up to take part in a 5K Colour Rush event on Sunday 21 June to raise money for the charity. St Michael's Hospice aims to improve lives of people affected by cancer or terminal illnesses in the Harrogate district, helping to support those living with it and their families and carers. A TASTE OF ROUGH SLEEPING
Steph Moon, Consultant Chef for Rudding Park and Patron of Simon On The Streets has organised a 'Taste of Rough Sleeping' in Leeds to help raise funds for 'Simon On The Streets' who offer street-based support for those in need across Leeds, Huddersfield and Bradford. To help raise money, a team of willing participants from various departments are joining Steph and taking part on Monday 15 June 2015. Peter Banks to the rescue!
No two days are the same at Rudding Park and being ‘hands on’ is a valuable skill we look for in all members of the team. Last week Peter Banks, Managing Director and keen Bee-keeper stepped in to remove a swarm of bees from the golf course. Unfortunately Peter had left his official protective clothing at home so had to improvise!
2015 Finalist - Excellence of Service Award
We are delighted to announce that Alex Golding has made it through to the final of the Academy of Culinary Arts Awards of Excellence for Service. The final will be held at Gleneagles Hotel on Tuesday 26 May 2015 where Alex will undergo a practical skills examination.
Employee of the Year 2014
January 2015 – Congratulations Chris Root, Assistant Reception Manager who has been voted Rudding Park’s 2014 Employee of the Year. Chris started Rudding Park as a Management Trainee, working in Food and Beverage Service and the Kitchens, in which he excelled. In June 2013 Chris joined the reception team as a Receptionist and in October 2014 he was promoted to Assistant Reception Manager. Chris is always cheerful and professional, approaching all situations in a positive manner. He will go out of his way to help others and is a pleasure to work with.
Employee of the Year 2013
February 2014 – Congratulations to Sarah Richardson-Mackie, Breakfast Supervisor who has been voted Rudding Park’s 2013 Employee of the Year. Sarah came to Rudding Park as a Senior Food and Beverage Assistant at Clocktower restaurant and progressed onto the Management Trainee Development Programme after a year. She now excels in managing a very busy department with up to 180 covers on most mornings. Sarah always thinks of others before herself and has fantastic empathy with all our guests.

February 2013 - We are delighted to announce that Vania Azevedo, Trainee Housekeeper is our Employee of the Year for 2012. She is creative and has introduced new ideas and procedures within the department. Vania is very well liked by her colleagues throughout Rudding Park. To quote one of Vania’s managers “she is a real gem!”
