A structured 12 month development programme designed to provide you with a holistic insight and practical application, into all areas of a successful hospitality business.

What to Expect
We have a maximum of six trainees per year, ideally starting around July/August time. All trainees meet monthly with the Training, Learning and Development Manager who designs the programme, mentors the trainees to ensure continued development.
You will be set objectives as you experience each department. Ad hoc projects will also be set to support your learning and growth.
12-months experiencing all departments at Rudding Park. Time spent in each department varies, but the outline below offers a guide.
6 months: Food and Beverage. Working at Clocktower Brasserie, Horto Restaurant, Meetings and Events
2 months: Front Office and Guest Relations
6 weeks: Spa. Working as a Host, on Reception and the Roof Top Spa.
6 weeks: Housekeeping.
1 week: Commercial team. Working with the Destination and Event Experience Teams, Sales, Revenue and Marketing.
1 week: IT, HR and Finance
1 month: Kitchens. Working at Clocktower Brasserie, Horto Restaurant,
Meetings and Events (Production Kitchen)
1 week: Holiday Park
1 week: Golf. Working at the Clubhouse and Golf Academy
During the year all management trainees complete a Management and Leadership Course, run by Dale Carnegie. This is a three phase programme over six months.
Phase 1 Confidence & Relationships
Strengthen trust, gain cooperation and learn to inspire others.
Phase 2 Stepping into Leadership
Increase self-awareness, use authority and influence appropriately, transition from a high performer to effective and engaging leader.
Phase 3 Leadership Presence
Communicate personal power, engage others with communication, sell ideas with conviction.
At the end of the year all trainees will present the conclusion of their project of choice at our graduation ceremony.
Fixed term, full time, 40-hour contract.
In addition, you will be entitled to enhanced pay and a share of the tronc (tips, paid quarterly) You will also be eligible for the Rudding Park team discounts and work perks.
On successful completion of the programme you will receive a certificate and momento of your time at Rudding Park
Throughout the programme you will have acquired insight and hands-on experience of all areas which go into a successful hospitality business. You will also be fast tracked through the recruitment process for any suitable at Rudding Park vacancies.
