Proposed Tennis Pavilion & Outdoor Courts

Reserved matters for the proposed tennis pavilion and 4 no. outdoor courts was approved by North Yorkshire Council on 26 January 2026. Following market research, a proposal is now being drawn up to replace one of the approved tennis courts with 4 no. covered padel courts. Technical work on the proposal for the padel courts is well advanced and in recent months pre-application discussions have taken place with North Yorkshire Council and Historic England.

The feedback received from Officers and Historic England has been positive and has been used to inform the reserved matters application which is currently being prepared. A full planning application is currently being prepared for the proposed Padel Courts and canopy and this will be submitted to North Yorkshire Council at the end of April 2026.
