For the Escapees Step away from your routine
Your escape thoughtfully curated
Two or three nights of proper rest, good food and Yorkshire at its most brilliant. Here's how we'd spend it.
DAY ONE
Yes, check-in is officially from 3pm, but why wait until then for your escape to begin? Before arrival, take time to explore Harrogate - our neighbour and one of England's finest spa towns. We recommend Montpellier Quarter and independent boutiques, galleries and artisan coffee shops.
Arrive to lunch a table at Clocktower Brasserie awaits, where you can choose from our All Day Dining menu with Yorkshire inspired seasonal favourites.
Afternoon Harrogate has been drawing people to its waters since the Victorian era — and we've kept that tradition very much alive. Our Roof Top Spa is fed by a private aquifer beneath the grounds, meaning every drop of water is naturally rich in magnesium, calcium and sodium and free from chemicals or chlorine.
Where to begin? A few ideas:
- Hydrotherapy Infinity Pool — sit back and let warm, powerful jets and panoramic garden views take over
- Sunlight Therapy Room — bathe in natural-spectrum light, boosting your vitamin D without a single harmful ray
- Contrast Therapy — take the warmth in one of our in or outdoor saunas. If you're feeling brave, 'take the plunge' in our Brass Monkey Ice Baths
- Woodland Spring Bathing — hidden in the trees, these private Scandinavian-style tubs are filled with our natural spring water. Pre-book before arrival to guarantee a tub
By now, your room is ready. Check in, explore and make the most of the space. If you've booked a Suite, Cottage or Lodge, open the doors and have a moment on your private terrace or veranda.
Pre-Dinner Treatment A signature ELEMIS massage or Mud Rasul experience before dinner is always a good idea. Book ahead and take your pick of timings.
Dinner Finish your day at Horto - floor-to-ceiling windows, a seasonal 'By Night' menu inspired by Chef's travels and views onto the south facing terrace.

DAY TWO
Breakfast Our beds are wonderfully comfortable — but it's easier to rise knowing breakfast is waiting. Head to Clocktower Brasserie, choose the sunlit conservatory, or take a leisurely breakfast at Horto. Prefer to stay exactly where you are? We don't blame you... breakfast in bed is encouraged.
Morning & Lunch From check-in to check-out, our 17 meter Indoor Swimming Pool & Juniper Log Sauna are yours. If you're yet to try Aufguss, this is your sign. Our Sauna Master combines essential oils, ice and a rather theatrical towel-twirling technique. Complimentary sessions run daily. When you're ready to surface, the 'By Day' Horto seasonal menu takes care of lunch.
Afternoon Fresh air calling? Here are a few ideas to build an appetite for later...
- Perfect your swing At the TrackMan Driving Range, 6- hole Repton Short Course or 18- hole Hawtree Course
- Explore the grounds take a moment to watch our garden team in action, or spy on our yellow-coated guests (bees) in the Nuttery beside the Kitchen Garden
- The library let the afternoon escape with you in our iconic egg chair
Dinner FIFTY TWO, open Wednesday to Sunday, is our Michelin-starred tasting experience built around the adjacent Kitchen Garden. There's no menu, we are in the hands of mother nature! Instead, expect food theatre - a selection of snacks, freshly-baked bread; assortment of plates leading up to the main event, followed by dessert and selection of liqueurs.

DAY THREE
Morning A walk through the grounds and a quiet breakfast makes the perfect start to your penultimate day. Then, a massage to remedy a busy mind — the Deep Tissue Tension-Ease Massage is a firm favourite. After, the Escape Zone calls where you discover our four multi-sensory relaxation rooms.
Afternoon Head straight for Bettys in Harrogate for a traditional afternoon tea, served since 1919 complete with silver cake stands. Then, explore Valley Gardens -17 acres of open, peaceful space in the heart of town.
Evening Back in time for a relaxed dinner at Clocktower Brasserie, where you can expect Yorkshire-inspired crowd pleasing plates. If the weather suits, maybe even a night cap on the Clocktower Terrace before returning to your Room, Suite, Cottage or Lodge?
